Statesville golf loses top player

Sydney Cox was a key loss. The Greyhounds’ top golfer last year is now playing at Catawba College.
Junior Ruth Andrews is the top returning player. Andrews played in most every match as a sophomore. She qualified for the regional, too.
Freshman Kathryn Vance could be one to watch. She is the younger sister of Wells Vance, who helped Statesville’s boys golf team win the 2004 Midwest Regional title and qualify for the state tournament a couple times.
