Republicans ousted in Caldwell County

Incumbents John Thuss and Faye Higgins lost in Tuesday’s primary election to three newcomers who campaigned against a recent tax increase.
Clay Bollinger, Ben Griffin and Rob Bratcher ran as a group with a theme of bringing fiscal responsibility to the board.
