McHenry under fire over Iraq trip
U.S. Rep. Patrick McHenry created a firestorm from two issues in recent days.
While speaking to a Republican group in Lincoln County about his recent trip to Iraq, McHenry referred to a military employee as a “two-bit security guard.”
The employee wasn’t an American soldier, but a foreign contractor.
Another controversy erupted over a McHenry video shot during his trip. In the clip, McHenry points out the locations of impact during a rocket attack. McHenry put the video on his Web site, but later removed it.
Several media outlets reported the controversies.
