Warren plans town hall meetings in Hickory, Taylorsville
N.C. Rep. Ray Warren will host Speaker of the House Joe Hackney and House Majority Leader Hugh Holliman for two town hall meetings on Aug. 22, including one in Hickory.
Other members of the legislature may also be in attendance.
Hackney represents the 54th District containing Chatham, Moore and Orange counties.
Holliman is from the 81st District containing Davidson County.
Warren represents North Carolina’s 88th House District, covering all of Alexander County and most of Hickory.
Warren said he arranged the meetings to “give local citizens, government and private, the chance to talk directly with the House leadership, to express their concerns, and to ask questions,” he says.
The Hickory town hall meeting is Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Arts & Science Center Auditorium at the SALT Block, 243 Third Ave., NE.
The Alexander County meeting will be from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room at Catawba Valley Community College’s Alexander Center at 345 Industrial Blvd., Taylorsville, just off N.C. 16 at the Wal-Mart intersection.
