North Carolina Representative Ray Warren Files for Re-election
Representative Warren filed today for re-election to the North Carolina House. Warren pledged to continue working for North Carolina’s families ensuring a quality education for our children, improving our state’s economy, and making quality healthcare available to all North Carolinians.
“We cannot turn our back on North Carolinians, who work hard every day at their jobs, but can not make ends meet to afford healthcare for their families. We have an obligation to our children to make sure they get a good education from qualified teachers. We must work to keep those good qualified teacher in our schools. Providing our children with a quality education and keeping our state financially secure will ensure their futures here in North Carolina” said Warren.
“We have worked to free up resources for school construction and other needs that form the infrastructure of local communities. I believe and research verifies that industry will seek out and locate in communities where a well-educated and trained work force is available. That is why I worked to make investments in technical education and workforce retraining programs in our area”.
“We have made progress, such as raising teacher pay, making community colleges more affordable and providing funding for dropout prevention, but there is a lot of work yet to be done to keep our communities strong” stated Representative Warren.
Representative Warren is seeking a 2nd two-year term in the State House, representing the 88th District. He currently serves on the Appropriations Committee, Vice-Chair of the Sub-Committee on Justice and Public Safety, Commerce and Small Business, Education, Sub-Committee on Community Colleges, Financial Institutions, Homeland Security, Military and Veterans Affairs and as Vice Chair of the Judiciary III Committee. The District includes all of Alexander County and a portion of Catawba County. Representative Warren lives in Hiddenite and is married to Iran Warren.
