N.C. gubernatorial debate to be televised

The debate between N.C. candidates for governor, Beverly Perdue and Pat McCrory, will be televised Wednesday a 7 p.m. on WSOC-TV, Channel 9, and WTVI, Charlotte’s Public Television station.

The live broadcast will be moderated by Channel 9 news anchor Vince Coakley and city-county reporter Jason Stoogenke.

The broadcast is part of of the Candidate Access 2008 initiative by WSOC and WAXN.

The debate will be held in WTVI’s studios, 3242 Commonwealth Ave., Charlotte.

In the Hickory viewing area, WSOC is cable channel 9.

Nice “bipartisan” reporting. The Libertarian candidate, Mike Munger, is also going to be in the debate. I think you ought to have mentioned this fact. He’s already debated McCrory twice on UNC-TV, debates which Perdue ducked.
