McHenry: No vacation for Congress because of energy crisis

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Patrick McHenry issued the following statement today (Thursday) in response to the Democrat-controlled Congress voting to give itself a 5-week vacation in the midst of the worst energy crisis in United States history.

“The American people demand action to address the energy crisis. But the Democrats who control Congress have made it clear that their vacation plans are more important than finding solutions to record-high gas prices. We should be rolling cots onto the House floor and staying here as long as it takes to debate and vote on real legislation that will help solve the energy crisis. The families of Western North Carolina deserve nothing less.”

Nothing but smoke and mirrors from McHenry.  Read the next article in line here at “Lets Talk Politics” to see just how much Mr. McHenry REALLY cares about helping get the cost of oil under control.
