McHenry, Johnson committed to candidate forum
HICKORY
The Catawba County Chamber of Commerce will host a special candidates forum on Oct. 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hickory Metro Convention Center.
The cost to attend this event is $20 per person, and lunch is included.
The forum will allow each candidate a few minutes for opening comments as well as some time to answer questions from the Chamber. The candidates will have an opportunity to answer questions from the audience.
The following candidates have been invited to participate in this forum:
U.S. Senate: Incumbent Elizabeth Dole and challenger Kay Hagan.
10th Congressional District: Incumbent Patrick McHenry and challenger Daniel Johnson have committed to the forum.
Governor: Pat McCrory and Bev Perdue.
Lt. Governor: Robert Pittenger and Walter Dalton.
