Johnson to meet with 10th District ministers

Daniel Johnson, Democratic candidate for the U.S.  House,  will participate in a roundtable discussion Tuesday with ministers and clergy in North Carolina’s 10th District.

Johnson will share his strong support of faith-based organizations receiving federal funding for their social ministry, and the group will discuss the major concerns of their congregations.

“As the son of a minister, I know that pastors and their staffs have the best perspective on how the current economic crisis is hurting Western North Carolina families and what can be done to help them make ends meet,” Johnson said.

“Supporting our churches in their outreach efforts is the right thing to do.”

The Daniel Johnson for Congress Ministers Roundtable is Tuesday (Sept. 23) at 8 a.m. at Timberwoods Restaurant, 1301 Bethel Road, Morganton.

Here’s Johnson’s schedule for the rest of the week:

• Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., Caldwell County Fair, 2461 Fairgrounds Road, Lenoir (off U.S. 321).
• Thursday, 7 p.m., East Lincoln Candidates Forum, Unity Presbyterian Church, 8210 Unity Church Road, Denver, N.C.
• Friday, 6:30 p.m., Cleveland County Fair1751 East Marion St., Shelby.

Maybe one of the Pastors will inquire why he is not pro-life.  If he is the son of a Pastor then it would reason he would fight to stop the murdering of millions of children if he were the Congressman.
