Catawba County Democrats plan precinct organization super rallies

“Thanks to the hard work of Democrats statewide and in Catawba County, we turned our state blue last year,” said Dan Green, chair of Catawba County Democratic Party.
“Countless volunteer hours and the extraordinary energy of people who care made this victory possible.
“Now is not the time to sit back and let all our energy fizzle,” he said. “We need everyone’s help to keep our work organized and to keep the momentum going.”
The North Carolina Democratic Party will hold annual precinct organizing rallies in Catawba County on Feb. 24 and 26 and March 3.
All meetings are free and open to registered Democrats. Forms will be available for those who want to change their registration to Democrat. Attendees will be electing delegates to the Catawba County Convention scheduled for April 25 at 10 a.m. at the 1929 Courthouse in Newton.
“Remember,” Green said, “2010 is just around the corner.”
