Bill is coming to Charlotte
Former President Bill Clinton will make a campaign appearance March 17, according to a Raleigh News and Observer article. He’ll attend a fundraiser and possibly other events for wife and candidate, Hillary.
Expect the Obama and Clinton campaigns to focus on North Carolina in the coming days. Lt. Gov. candidate Gary Dority told the Record this week that he expects “campaign operatives” - as he put it - to be in the state within the next two to three weeks.
The story also said David Plouffe, Obama’s campaign manager, was in Raleigh two weeks ago to begin organizing the Obama campaign here.
The campaigns would, logically speaking, focus on the state’s largest cities and the more Democratic eastern part of the state.
