There were no surprises tonight.
U.S. Rep. Patrick McHenry, N.C. Sen. Austin Allran and two Catawba County Board of Commisssioners defeated primary challengers Tuesday.

McHenry wins handily
U.S. Rep. Patrick McHenry won easily over challenger Lance Sigmon in Tuesday’s Republican primary. McHenry took all 10 counties of the 10th Congressional District, including a narrow victory in Catawba County.

Catawba County Board of Commissioners
Winners: Barbara Beatty $7,025

Daniel Johnson tours 10 counties of 10th District
Congressional candidate Daniel Johnson will tour the 10th District’s 10 counties on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
He’ll be in Hickory at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday to tailgate at a Crawdads game with campaign volunteers.

Sigmon: I won’t endorse McHenry
